Delete my account

How to delete your Bound & Byte account and the data stored with it.

You only have a Bound & Byte account if you signed in with Google in the app. If you never signed in, nothing is stored outside your phone. Uninstalling the app removes everything.

Ask us to delete your account

  1. Send an email from the Google account you sign in with to support@boundandbyte.com, with the subject "Delete my account".
  2. We'll confirm the request by replying to that email.
  3. Your account and its data are deleted within 30 days, and we email you when it's done.

Email a deletion request

What gets deleted

  • Your sign-in account for Bound & Byte
  • The copy of your library synced to the cloud
  • Your shared library and its share code
  • Book recommendations you've received

We keep nothing else about you. Recommendations you sent to friends stay in their apps unless they delete them.

Data on your phone

Your library and photos on your phone are not affected by deleting your account. To remove them, open Me → Back up and restore and choose Erase everything on this device, or uninstall the app. Save a backup first if you might want your library later.

Purchases

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a monthly plan. Cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
